Growing Up

After looking at these pictures, I am realizing how much my girls have grown up since I started this blog! Katy starts kindergarten in the fall and Madison starts pre-school!

Contagious Smile

I am really having a hard time getting Madison to smile for the camera! But when she does, I can't help but start laughing because she has the most contagious laugh and smile!

Pretty In Pink

These are just some pictures I snapped after getting the girls dressed. I thought they looked so adorable and I couldn't help myself. Madison wore ALL that jewelry to the babysitter's house. She refused to take it off!

Our Little Dancer

On June 12th and 14th, Katy performed in her 2nd annual ballet recital for the Dance Center. She absolutely LOVES to dance and LOVES to get all dolled up to perform. Her class performed this year without their teacher on stage and they all did a great job! She will be taking ballet class again in the fall and gets to try tap dance, too!

The Track

We went to the coolest place in Destin called "The Track". There were all kinds of things for kids of all ages to do, including miniature golf and driving go-karts and bumper cars. Katy got to drive a mini go-kart all by herself and she did great! Madison wanted so badly to drive one, too but she wasn't tall enough...and I am not sure I trust her driving anything motorized! So she settled for the carousel and airplane ride. There is video below, too.

Fudpuckers

We went to eat at a place called Fudpuckers. Live alligators, awesome food and a guy who made balloon animals for the girls! Madison got a white monkey and Katy got a pink and yellow butterfly.

Say Cheese!

Here is our failed attempt to try and get a good family picture. I am having a really hard time getting Madison to smile for the camera. Maybe I take her picture to much? Katy is no problem...she is such a ham!

Bass Pro

Of course we had to make a stop at the Bass Pro shop in Destin! The store had a huge aquarium with the biggest, ugliest fish I have ever seen. The girls got to see "feeding time" for the fish and thought it was pretty cool!

Gone Flippin'

I love the picture of Ron...that hat suits him well!! I also posted a video of the boys flipping me in the pool. I swear they were trying to throw me to the sky! The other video is Madison talking and singing. Enjoy!

Crystal Beach

On May 28th, we departed Decatur on a crazy road trip to Destin, Florida to spend a week with my Mom, Step-dad, sisters and their families. Needless to say, it was the best, worst trip ever! It was the best trip because we had a great time with my family just lounging by the pool and playing in the ocean. It was the worst trip because of the car ride to Destin. Words of advice to all parents: DO NOT DRIVE. JUST FLY. JUST DO IT! We left at 5pm on Thursday and Madison cried practically the whole way to Decatur, Alabama. She did not sleep until we were 4 miles from our hotel in Alabama...and that was at 2:30 AM! The next day, we were on the road by 9am...and 5 minutes into the drive Katy puked all over the back seat. Twice. Yes...good times! These memories will never be forgotten...and thank god for Aunt Julie! Enjoy the pictures and videos!
