Fun in May

Just a few pictures left over from May...little miss sassy pants in her cute dress...and a picture of Katy & me at the Mother's Day Tea Party.

Katy's Ballet Dress Rehearsal

Katy loves taking ballet class at the Dance Center. Here are a few pictures of Katy before her dress rehearsal. Of course Madison HAD to have her hair in a bun, too. And she HAD to put on a dress. And she HAD to put on lipstick. All-By-Herself.

The Storm

Here are a few pictures of a really cool storm that rolled through our area. I have never seen the sky so dark at 5:30 in the afternoon. Turns out this storm looked worse than it really was...mostly hard rain and a few bouts of loud thunder.

Goodbye Pre-School, Hello Kindergarten!

On May 20th, Katy attended her last day of school as a pre-schooler! She has loved Central Christian and will miss her teachers, Mrs. Jalley and Mrs. Villarreal and will also miss her friends! She will start kindergarten this fall at Meridian Primary. Go HAWKS!

Go Rivercats!

This is Katy's first year playing T-Ball and she is having a great time! For as little as she is...she has a heck of a swing! And of course no game would be complete without a little digging in the dirt!

Scovill Zoo

On May 14, Katy's Pre-school class took their last field trip to Scovill Zoo.

The Graduate

Congratulations Julie! On May 8th, my sister graduated with honors (and a 4.0) from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She has been studying for the last 3 years to be a nurse practioner…and now she has the master's degree to do it! We are all so very proud of her!

Another Easter

We celebrated another Easter at Nanny's house last Saturday. Here are some pictures of the girls with some of their cousins. From left Madison, Marissa, Olivia, Connor, Nick...and Katy is in the front.

The Katy & Maddy Show

Here are some more pictures of the girls. As you can see…they love to be in front of the camera! I don't even have to ask them to hug or hold hands or whatever. All I say is "get closer together and act like you love eachother!" Both girls are complete hams in front of the camera!

Daddy's Little Girls

These pictures are just precious. You can really see the girls' different personalities in some of these pictures…and you can also see the love they have for their daddy!

Where's the Easter Bunny?

Easter morning was very interesting at our house. The girls were both excited about the Easter Bunny coming, but Madison was afraid to leave her bedroom because she is actually "scared" of the Easter Bunny and thought he may still be out in our family room! The girls got Polly Pockets, bubbles, movies, jammies, shoes...and Katy got a new glove, bat and bat bag for her upcoming T-ball season.

Play Ball

Last Saturday, we celbrated Easter on the farm with my family. We were lucky enough to have a little taste of warm weather...enough for the kids to fly kites, hunt easter eggs and play a little softball. Actually, I think the adults had more fun playing ball than the kids did!

Gone Bike Ridin'

This is a video of Katy riding a bike for the first time without the training wheels! Charley just let her go...and she did it!
